Samsung 3D Starter Kit

April 04, 10 by Daniel Foster

The recently released Samsung 3D Starter Kit SSG-P2100T (link) is the new home theater experience. Compatible with the company’s new line of 3-D televisions and Blu-Ray players, these aren’t  the cheesy paper glasses that come in cereal boxes– they legitimately deliver one of the best 3D experiences available. And while you’ll never see them on the cover of a fashion magazine, the Samsung 3D glasses are good looking enough to be worn without much loss of dignity.

The Samsung 3D Starter Kit comes with two pairs of 3D glasses as well as a free copy of “Monsters vs. Aliens” in 3-D. They’re compatible with the Samsung C7000, C8000 and C9000 series LED-LCD HDTVs, the C750 LCD HDTV, C7000 and C8000 series plasma HDTVs and BD-C6900 Blu-ray players.

Samsung SWA-4000

April 04, 10 by Daniel Foster

Sick of running wires all over your living room? The Samsung SWA-4000 wireless receiver (link) is a rear-channel amplifier compatible with a number of Samsung home entertainment systems, including the HT-TX35R, HT-X250R, HT-X30R, HT-TXQ120R, HT-TX500R, HT-TZ315R, and the HT-X715T.

I think this Samsung wireless receiver is a great idea because it removes a lot of the hassle of setting up a surround sound system. A lot of people want surround audio, but don’t know how to plug in all the wires. You can always get an expert to do it, of course, but what do you do when something comes loose? I haven’t had a chance to review it yet personally, but a friend of mine recently bought one for his parents and had great things to say about the unit.
