Adopt a Word, Save it from Extinction

Use words like “lubency” very often? Well, I don’t, and neither do most of other people. That’s what a team of lexicographers at Oxford are trying to change with its innovative Save the Words campaign.
Using the Save the Words website, one can view hundreds of words that have grown so far out of usage that they have been dropped from the dictionary. After clicking on a word and reading its definition, users can adopt one or more of these lost words, pledging to use it everywhere and in any way possible.
Soon you may find yourself with the lubency to use words like “obarmate” (to arm against), “supellectile” (relating to furniture), and ichorescent (emitting a watery acidic discharge from a wound). For the record, “lubency” refers to a willingness or please to do something.
