The BenQ Joybee GP1 Mini-LED DLP Projector [$499.99] makes up in power what it lacks in size. It can project a 858×600 resolution image up to 80 inches in size at a 2000:1 resolution, but also features VGA and a built-in 2W speaker. Sansa Clip+

February 13, 10 by Daniel Foster

The SanDisk Sansa Clip+ 8 GB MP3 player [$57.95] proves you don’t need an iPod to enjoy music. At nearly a third of the price of its well-known competitor, the Clip+ holds the same capacity as the base iPod Nano (2000 songs), but also features an FM radio and a long battery life of 15 hours.

My favorite thing about the Sansa Clip+ is that it is very small and lightweight– not much bigger than an iPod Shuffle. It can be clipped onto any item of clothing and is expandable via SD/SDHC card. It’s sturdiness and low-price makes it great for working out or other situations where electronics are more likely to get damaged.

AirStash

The AirStash [$TBA] is a wireless SD card reader designed for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Weighing only 1.5 ounces, it easily fits in your pocket and lets you access files on a SD card up to 32 GB in size from your iPhone. It also works with other Wi-Fi devices.

The AirStash can also interface with computers via USB, but what makes it really cool in my opinion is that it also acts as a wireless access point, allowing you to share movies, music, photos, documents, and more between any number of devices. As for right now, there is no release date or price for the Air Stash, but expect to see an update as soon as more information is released.

The Sony Dash [$199.99] is one of those things that you don’t need, but would sure as hell be cool to have. This seven-inch touchscreen device is a new concept intended to be an Internet alarm clock of sorts, supporting all sorts of cool custom applications like YouTube, Facebook, and the weather. It can also play video and music. Best of all, it uses the same operating system as its Chumby competitor, meaning it will run its catalog of 1,00o+ applications.

Eneloop

January 05, 10 by Daniel Foster

eneloop
Need more juice for your gear? The eneloop Power Pack Kit [$33.00] by Sanyo is a very cheap and energy-efficient rechargeable battery system. Eneloop works with any device, and one AA battery has the same power as 1,000 alkaline batteries!

The kit comes with 8 AA and 2 AAA batteries. An adapter is included to convert them to C or D batteries if needed. While a little expensive up front, the eneloops provide power for much longer and are much more durable than the typical rechargeable battery.
